Staci and I are celebrating three years in business as Create & Celebrate Art. We started with a vision to show others that everyone, no matter what age, can “Create” their own unique art. It was our mission to show them how to do that. Then, it was our goal to see them “Celebrate” the fact that they could do it!
In January 2022, we began doing a live Facebook Art Journaling hour once a week. For those of you who don’t know about Art Journaling, it is a visual form of journaling. It is a way to take an idea or thought and instead of writing it out in words, you create a visual illustration of that idea or thought. I personally love doing this! We used a private Facebook group page to accomplish this. All you need to do is click the link to join. Once in, you have access to an entire library of these Art Journaling videos. Best of all, this group is FREE!
You see, our goal here is to show each person how to create using different mediums. For example, on Groundhog Day, we used mixed media to create a fun journal page that detailed how Groundhog Day got started! We cut out a newspaper article, placed our little cute groundhog on the page, and then added in some paints and other mediums. Maybe you are more interested in our post where we use modeling paste to create our tree trunk and then we create several different “Fairy doors” that open to your personal little fairy welcoming you. Perhaps, you should check out our post using magazine clippings to create our 3D Flamingo! Pink is in you know! Through the process of Art Journaling, you will come to see that it is addicting and so much fun!
Also, Art Journaling is very therapeutic. It is a way to empty your mind of the stresses of the day and then fill your mind back up using your creative side! I say your creative side because even though we are showing you our version of the journal page, you will be using your own clippings, paints, and colors to achieve a style that is you.
So, why should you go to our website, http://createandcelebrateart.com/ and text 66866? Where else can you join a “free” group that will open your creative side so that you can have fun! Free Fun! Everyone is for that.
